About me

This is just a brief introduction to me and the projects iv done. Also a little on my journey into making things.

Iv always enjoyed metal work from being very young. I was 14 when i had my first welder this was a MMA stick set which lasted me along time. Since then i got my qualifications in 6g MMA and MAG.

I then went on to getting my HNC in Welding and inspections. All that been said it is Tig welding which i love to do most.

Wood work on the other hand I was never very good at but had a real passion to make things out of wood. Unfortunately it was not til the YouTube revolution and the maker videos started, this gave me the platform of knowledge so i could try making wooden projects i previously had no idea how to even start. The first real maker I zoned in on was an American by the name of Jimmy Diresta. This guy is some what of a legend in the maker community. The photo on the left is when Jimmy was at the makers fair in Birmingham 2018.

Then came the videos on how to make a silver ring from a coin, this is something that has been taking huge chunks of my spare time this last year but when you finally manage to make a silver ring that you actually feel good wearing when your out its a fantastic feeling to have. Then comes the obsession of doing more out of different coins.

Some times you have to modify a tool better than it is or in some cases make the tool that you need for a certain project. My partner often tells me she thinks i have an idea and spends that much energy and time making the equipment for the project i then get another idea and start some thing new before actually starting the 1st intended project, she never wrong. This however is some what good because eventually you will get to use tool for its intended use. Below is a good example of a tool i kneed for making knifes but would cost far to much money to be worth buying in this country so i make my version of the tool. 2x72inch belt sander.
