First i cut the box section to the correct length then welded it into 2 rectangles making the outline for the gates. Then i wanted to give a lip for the panel to sit against i welded a piece of 30x8 flat bar to the box section. I didnot want the end result looking like i had done that so all the weld on the flat bar was ground back ( this was a big job and very time consuming.
